Deployment prerequisites

This page gathers the software prerequisites, supported platforms, and hosting modes available for publishing a Lagoon application.

Software

On the server

• ASP.NET Core Runtime 8.0.X.

On the build machine

No external tool is required to compile a Lagoon application: styles, scripts, and icons are generated by the MSBuild tasks of the Lagoon.Build package.

Release builds minify JavaScript with Terser and therefore require node.js and npm. The Terser package is installed automatically on first use in ~/.lagoon/_prebuild (or in the folder designated by the LAGOON_PREBUILD_CACHE environment variable). In Debug, scripts are only concatenated.

On the client machine

• Mozilla Firefox.
• Google Chrome, Android included.
• Microsoft Edge, Chromium version.
• Apple Safari, iOS included.
